As a result of the recent development in piracy hijackings in the area, AP Moller-Maersk (Denmark) has updated its policy for vessels entering the Gulf of Aden and off the coast of East Africa. For the time being, vessels without adequate speed or freeboard will avoid the Gulf of Aden and seek alternative routing south of the Cape of Good Hope and east of Madagascar. 

OHL to Expand Logistics Operations Logistics specialist OHL is expanding its operations in Plainfield, creating up to 120 new jobs. The company will invest more than $11.3 million at its 3.2 million square-foot Plainfield campus and use a $200,000 grant from the state to train its 400-employee workforce.  

Mazda Goes by Train Mazda Motor Corp will begin large-scale transportation of vehicles to Russia using the Trans-Siberian Railroad (TSR) - the first car manufacturer to adopt this transport system for regular use. This new initiative is intended to supplement existing Mazda vehicle deliveries from Japan, reducing the delivery time by up to thirty days for high-demand vehicles.  

Regional Centre of Logistics in Uzbekistan Korean Air Lines Co. the world`s largest air cargo carrier said it has signed a formal deal with state-run Uzbekistan Airways to expand cooperation in international air cargo services. The two carriers struck a preliminary deal in May to build an international logistics center at Navoi Airport in the Central Asian country and to operate cargo flights on the Incheon-Navoi-Milano route, Korean Air said in a statement.

Global ProView will enable customers to track all their shipments quickly, easily and simultaneously with one seamless online-application. Accessible via the Internet, Global ProView offers a complete and automatically updated overview of a customer`s global shipments. First introduced to the US market in 2006, ProView has been met with high adoption rates. Global ProView will now be rolled out in most key markets by the end of the year.
