Cleaner loaders that can pick up beet straight from the heap are obviously becoming all the rage. Terra-Felis sugar beet cleaner loader from Holmer Maschinenbau GmbH will be available on the UK market for the 2009 harvest. Powered by a 299hp Deutz engine, the machine can cope with more than 250t/hour, due to a 9m pick-up which is able to handle clamps as wide as 8.5m in the field as well as on concrete.
The 13m-long discharge auger can operate at up to 6m in height and can be swung 300 degrees for loading over hedges and dykes, all controlled by a multi-function joystick in the cab. Two cameras, colour monitor, sound and heat insulation and CD/radio with Bluetooth are fitted as standard and an in-cab diesel cabin heater is optional. The Terra-Felis will be priced from £254,000.
The Terra Felis‘s cab offers a high degree of operating comfort, thus facilitating the operator‘s work and contributing to his being able to exploit the machine‘s performance potential to the full. All functions can be performed easily from the comfortable seat with an ergonomic joystick. The fully glazed cab provides perfect forward and lateral vision.
