Russia welcomes Lamborghini tractors

Lamborghini will produce tractors in RussiaLamborghini will produce tractors in Russia.

In 2007 Russian group InvestTekhMash will commence assembly of tractors from Italian-German corporation SDF. The company will produce three brands - SAME, Deutz-Fahr and Lamborghini.

The decision was made during negotiation of the Governor of Leningrad Region Valery Serdyukov and Massimo Bordi, CEO of Same Deutz-Fahr.

Russian side at the meeting was presented by chairman of InvestTekhMash group Mikhail Petrov. The amount of funds planned to invest in the assembly facility is "not settled". The production will be located in Roschino village, Vyborg district, on the territory of Roschinoselkhoztekhnika company, which will be purchased by InvestTekhMash and transferred to the manufacturer for commencement of assembly. The sales of products will be basically focused on Leningrad Region acknowledged by investors as a promising area for development of agriculture and a territory with well-developed machinery industry. Besides, the tractors will be supplied to South federal district and Northwest of Russia. The price for one tractor will be about $100 000. In addition to agricultural equipment, it is planned to establish in Vyborg district a facility for production of crawler machines for mobile electrical units.
