Manitou will launch a hybrid telehandler/tractor concept. The French firm currently remains cagey about the details but it appears that the new Manitrac is loosely based on the company’s Manihoe loader/backhoe hybrid machine.  

Tractors to run on alternative fuel The first tractors with engines purpose-built to run on pure rapeseed oil with full warranty will appear at Germany`s Agritechnica show in Hanover from 13th-17th Nov. Deutz presents its “Natural Fuel Engines” fully guaranteed for fuelling with crude, unprocessed vegetable oil.  

Pneumatic Venta NC from KUHN The latest addition to Kuhn’s Combiliner range (France), the pneumatic Venta NC, is a high-speed combination designed with the versatility to drill into ploughed or unploughed land. It is available in 3 and 4 metre working widths and combines the established Venta pneumatic drill technology with the latest HR1003 series power harrow. 

Case IH Axial-Flow 9010 Сombine The latest and biggest model of Case IH Axial-Flow combine (Great Britain) is the 9010. There is a 13-litre Iveco engine in the engine compartment. Normally it puts out 460hp, but if engine revs drop as a result of a heavy load it will boost that to 532hp. The combine features a CVT gearbox, a new smaller rotor that is said to be easier on the straw and use less fuel.  

Vicon Upgraded Round Balers According to field tests and reports from first users, the new system of Vicon’s latest variable chamber balers has worked consistently well, giving tighter wrap and neater bales. The Vicon RV 2160, producing bales up to 1.6m diameter and the RV 2190 for bales up to 1.82m, have been thoroughly overhauled with changes catering for bigger tractors and improving performance when baling grass.
