October 28, Belarus and Moldova presented in Kishinev a new experimental model of a joint-assembly tractor. 

Belarus will supply tractors to South Africa South-African Republic is interested in increasing purchases of Belarusian agricultural equipment. First Belarusian tractors delivered to the country have already gained recognition. 

Canadian tractors will be assembled in South Russia Canadian agricultural equipment manufacturer Buhler will invest $7.1 mln in building its tractor plant in Krasnodar region of Russia.

According to a source in the administration of region, the agreements were signed at the economical forum Kuban-2006 by a Buhler representative John Buhler and Governor of Krasnodar region Alexander Tkachev.

According to preliminary data, the plant will assemble 500 tractors a year. The realization of the investment 

Saint Petersburg produces Russia’s best tractors Kirovets K 3180 ATM tractor, produced by Petersburg tractor factory, was recognized as Russia’s Best Tractor 2006 at the Day of Russian Field held in Saransk.

Designed in 2003, Kirovets K 3180 ATM has been produced on new assembly line of Petersburg tractor factory since August 2005. With its unique technical characteristics, K 3180 ATM was developed using components from world’s leading manufacturers. The tractor complies with international standards 

Sanctions are no threat to Belarusian tractors Since early 2006, Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ), Belarus, increased production of tractors and machines by 21.8% compared to the same period of last year, which resulted in output of 25,301 items.

Totally during the mentioned period, the plant produced items worth $463 mln, which is 128.4% to the rates of first half of 2005.

During the mentioned period, the plant exported products worth $280 mln, which is over 125.5% compared to the same period of last year.
