2013 BMW: 320 Touring, Z4, M6 Grand Coupe, X5
BMW has prepared for the 3-Series Touring the engine range including a 134-horsepower gasoline engine for the 316i, and two diesel units for the 320d. Six xDrive versions will be added to the 3-Series range.
The 1-Series Limited Edition Lifestyle will go on sale in spring and will be available with all-wheel drive, as well as the 6-Series. As an option 1-Series, X3, 6-Series and several models that meet EU6 standards, get the Professional navigation system.
The new Entry-Level BMW 320i will go on sale in spring, the starting world price for the rear-wheel drive will be $33,445, 320i xDrive version will be available from $35,445.
BMW 320i is powered by either a 1.5- or a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine. The US version gets the latter engine producing 180 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. For a 0-60 mph acceleration time is of just 7.1 seconds.
2014 BMW Z4
The updated 2014 BMW Z4 roadster has received bi-xenon headlights, new side indicators, 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels. There is updated color palette: Mineral Grey metallic, Glacier Silver metallic and Valencia Orange metallic.
Two slightly less ferociously powered versions of the Z4 will be available for the new model year, too. The Z4 sDrive35i is good for 300 hp and 300 lb-ft, while the still-potent sDrive28i features a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder making 240 hp and 260 lb-ft. The convertible accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, top speed of 221 km/h.
BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept
BMW fans have to get used to calling the new 3-Series the 4-Series. Compared with the 3-Series Coupe the 4-Series has a slightly longer wheelbase and lower roofline.
The engine range includes: 2-liter gasoline turbo engine producing 240 hp for 428i; 3-liter inline engine with Twin Turbo 300 hp for the 435i. For the European market a more extensive engine lineup with diesel options will be offered.
BMW M6 Gran Coupe
At the Detroit Auto Show BMW is launching its new M6 Gran Coupe equipped with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that can produce 552 hp between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 680Nm between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm.
BMW M6 Gran Coupe quoting a 0-60mph time of 4.1 seconds, top speed is 250 km/h.
Besides production models and concepts from BMW, appeared some pictures of the new crossover BMW X5. Who knows, maybe it will be the next premiere.
