This model of Mitsubishi is liked by Gates not only as a constant companion in the race, but as a city car too. So he decided to urbanize it. Lancer Evo X - is not a simple car. It took Gates three years to tune it up to the automobile gourmets taste. But it was worth it! Although, these words may check only 11 persons. That`s the number of cars that will be released after its official debut at the Motor Show in Minneapolis.
The striking white and blue urban prankster was called 311RS Evo X. It inherited DNA from the previous Gates’ graduate – Gates311 Evo X Time Attack. So, let`s look at the 311RS closer.

According to the schedule, 311RS is well suited for city driving and will accelerate fast from one traffic light to another, since the maximum torque is achieved at medium speeds.
But the power to 311RS motor is achieved due to the turbocharger, whose lungs are fed by a powerful stream of air from AMS Performance intake. The same manufacturer of tuning components gave 311RS intermediate radiator and widemouth downpipe.
AMS Racing Cat-Back exhaust system with Titanium muffler let the "street car" to loose its weight greatly. A custom made 311RS’s JRZ RS1 adjustable suspension with red springs can be easily switched from the city to the racing mode.
Brake system has been added by Girodisk components: two-piece brake rotors, brake pads, brake tube and heat shield. Exclusive CE28 wheels produced by Rays Volk Racing are shod in Nitto NT05 tires.
As for the exterior, there may be noted carbon fiber JDP front lip weighing less than a kilogram, which provides a good downforce, VOLTEX rear wing, which structure tunes with the front lip, and painting by Jon Sibal. Inside, all is trimmed with E-Suede.
You may ask, how does this affect the price? And we answer – a little bit. If the top-end modification of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X costs 46,000 dollars, for 311RS you should pay only 3,000 dollars more.
