And here is the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, which is being tested under the code name Project Phoenix.
2016 Chevrolet Cruze will be built on the GM platform D2XX, which will replace Delta II and Theta platforms. The 2016 Cruze length will be more larger, so its cargo space and an interior will be extended. According to the plans, 2016 Cruze will be available in 4-door sedan version, two-door coupe, station wagon and hatchback. The newest Cruze will get a family of compact SGE engines, which was developed by Opel together with Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC). The volume of these engines varies from 1.0 to 1.5 liters. All engines will be equipped with turbochargers and run on gasoline, and diesel fuel.
Now, let’s move to the concrete facts. Chevrolet posted some information about the 2014 Cruze. According to the manufacturer, 2014 Chevrolet Cruze meets the requirements of time in the best way. Why?
Well, at first, Cruze SRi and SRi-V modifications are equipped with the new four-cylinder turbocharged 1.6-liter that have a capacity of 179 hp and torque at 230 Nm. They can be connected to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. These two versions differ by factory tuning package consisting of modified bumpers, aerodynamic side skirts and rear spoilers. These modifications have an improvement in the chassis – sports suspension.
Modification of Cruze CDX is mid-trimmed and is available only in the sedan version. It will also include a number of innovations: comfort-tuned suspension, rear view camera and keyless entry. CDX uses both gasoline and diesel engines.
Cruze 2014 Equipe modification is trimmed by a 7-inch display, a MyLink multimedia infotainment system, audio system with 6 speakers and air conditioning. To the abovementioned engines at Equipe there added a 1.4-liter gasoline engine that produces 140 hp power and 200 Nm of torque.
