New Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R concept
Toyota has revealed all the details of its new Yaris Hybrid-R concept, which will be premiered next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Based on the three-door Yaris, Hybrid-R concept is powered by a four-cylinder 1.6-liter turbocharged engine producing 300 hp (224 kW) and 420 Nm of torque to the front wheels. Each rear wheel is driven by a 60 hp electric motor.
There is a third electric motor 60 hp, installed between the main engine and the six-speed sequential gearbox. It is used to power the two rear electric motors during acceleration, as well as to feed the super capacitor during deceleration.
Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels TRD, wrapped around in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 225/40 R18 tires. In the cabin there are Recaro bucket seats with black leather and blue Alcantara. The gear lever is located very close to the right hand of the driver, and a sports steering wheel is covered in Alcantara.
