VOLVO Gas-Powered Bus for the Indian Market
Swedish bus manufacturer Volvo launched a new bus powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) for the Indian market to take on rivals like Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland. This CNG variant is being built at Volvo plant near Bangalore.

New Scania Touring Coach
At the Busworld exhibition in Kortrijk, Belgium, Scania launched a new coach: the Scania Touring. The coach is built in partnership with the Chinese bus bodybuilder Higer. Together the two manufacturers will produce buses in China for the world market, which is a first in bus manufacture.

Second Generation Hyundai Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus
Korean bus manufacturer Hyundai launched its second generation hydrogen fuel cell bus during the Seoul Motor Show. Based on the most recent Low Floor Aero City bus platform, this fuel cell electric bus features a bunch of technical refinements, making it capable of hitting the 100km/h maximum speed mark.

Navistar International WorkStar Hybrid
Navistar unveiled its newest hybrid truck, the International WorkStar Hybrid 4x4—the industry’s first four-wheel drive diesel-electric hybrid commercial truck. The International WorkStar Hybrid 4x4 can provide dramatic fuel savings of nearly 60 percent in utility-type applications when the engine often can be shut off, but electric power still operates the vehicle.

Double-decker Olympus from Optare
An Optare Olympus 100-seat double-decker is marketed for school trips for which its high capacity is particularly suited. It has Fainsa coach-style high-back seats with three point seat belts, bonded tinted glass, a chiller system in the upper saloon, and tables over the rear wheel arches.
