All-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz Vito
Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled a new generation of 2014 Vito commercial vehicles. The mid-size van features the largest cargo capacity in its class, and can be supplied both with standard rear-wheel drive and also with a front-wheel drive system. In addition, there are three different lengths: 4895 mm, 5140 mm, 5730 mm, which is 140 mm longer than its predecessor. The maximum height stands at 1910mm.
Mercedes-Benz Vito is available in three body types: the panel van Vito, Vito Crew and Vito Tourer. All versions are equipped with disc brakes, adaptive ESP, airbags, Attention Assist system, Crosswind Assist, designed to eliminate the effects of gusts acting on the vehicle, Parking Assist, Lane Keeping system and Blind Spot Assist. Also the Intelligent Light System (ILS) is available.
The engine range for the front-wheel versions includes a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 88 hp (65 kW) for Vito 109 CDI, and the 114-hp engine for Vito 111 CDI. The rear-wheel drive models feature a 2.15-liter four-cylinder engine producing 136 hp (100 kW) for Vito 114 CDI, 163 hp (120 kW) for the Vito 116 CDI and 190 hp (140 kW) for the Vito 119 BlueTEC. All engines are paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, except Vito 119 BlueTEC, which is equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission; it is also available as an option for the Vito 114 CDI and Vito 116 CDI.
