12% more power from new Liebherr excavator

At Bauma 2007, Liebherr is presenting a revised version of the A 314 Litronic mobile excavator first exhibited in 2001. The new diesel engine plays a major part in this remake. Not only does it meet the requirements of Stage IIIa / Tier 3 emission standards; with an output of 90 kW / 122 hp, it also produces around 12 % more power at the same 1,800 rpm as its predecessor. This low rated speed ensures constantly high performance as well as excellent fuel efficiency.

A further improvement has been achieved in the field of noise emissions. Thanks to innovative solutions and extensive sound insulation, noise emissions have been reduced to a mere 72 dB(A) inside the operator`s cab and 99 dB(A) outside. The large operator`s cab on the A 314 Litronic features a Liebherr operator`s seat that can be vertically adjusted in six different ways and adapted to suit the weight of the operator. The seat can also be ordered with air cushioning and heating. The control panel with digital display is another new addition, this time enabling the operator to conveniently select the desired operating data via the keypad.

The robust, torsionally rigid A 314 Litronic undercarriage has also been completely redesigned. A noticeable feature is the vast mid-section with a travel drive unit that has been positioned further back and thus given greater protection. Since the travel drive is integrated into the undercarriage, greater ground clearance is achieved between the axles, thereby improving the off-road capabilities of the excavator as a whole.
