Several models within the John Deere J-Series wheel loader line have been updated to feature new, Tier 3-compliant Deere PowerTech Engines, Deere`s exclusive Quad-Cool cooling system, and other enhancements that deliver productivity, uptime and low daily operating costs.
The 444J, 544J, 624J and 644J Wheel Loaders have been updated to include Tier 3-compliant John Deere PowerTech engines that deliver fuel efficiency, wet sleeve cylinders for long life, and an electronically-controlled fuel system for precise injections. These engines provide strong power and torque for excellent performance in any loader application.
The 644J now features John Deere`s exclusive Quad-Cool cooling system. Already a feature on the 444J, 544J and 624J, Quad-Cool is the easiest cooling system to clean, as well as the most resistant to plugging. Rather than being stacked (as with traditional cooling systems), the coolers are mounted on four sides for cleaning access to both sides of each cooler. With the bulkhead separating the engine from the Quad-Cool compartment, the cooling system receives fresh cool air and isn`t affected by engine heat. Large air intake areas keep air velocity low, which attracts less airborne debris, and inlet air is pre-screened through 3 mm openings in the side shields—smaller openings than in the fin spacing of the coolers, which helps keep debris out of the system. The system also features a swing-out cool-on demand fan and an optional automatic reversing fan.
