Komatsu America Corp. announces the introduction of the PC160LC-7 hydraulic excavator with Tier 3 Engine. Designed for use in construction, utility/public works, aggregates and waste/recycling applications, the PC160LC-7 reduces operating costs through extended service intervals and increased production.
The PC160LC-7 is also equipped with the latest KomtraxTM technology, which sends machine operating information to a secure website utilizing wireless technology. The Komtrax fleet monitoring system increases machine availability, reduces the risk of machine theft, and provides a wealth of other information to drive business efficiently and productively.
Komatsu`s turbocharged SAA4D107E-1 engine has a flywheel horsepower of 115HP and meets EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage 3A emissions regulations (while reducing Nox emissions by 30% over the previous model) without sacrificing power or machine productivity.
Equipped with Komatsu`s exclusive EMMS (Equipment Management Monitoring System), the PC160LC-7 was designed to reduce costly downtime. EMMS continually monitors all critical excavator systems, alerting and guiding the operator should a problem occur. By preventing a small problem from becoming a major service issue, EMMS contributes to operating cost reduction.
