Komatsu America Corp. announces the introduction of the brand new PC138USLC-8 short tail swing excavator that is distinguished in technology, long-term reliability, operator comfort, and machine operation. The powerful excavator has a net horsepower of 92 HP and an operating weight of 31,107 to 32,568 pounds.
The new SAA4D95LE-5 common rail injection engine was developed to increase power and lower emissions as compared to the previous PC138USLC-2. The improved engine performance utilizes an electronic multi-staged fuel injection system and isochronous control that maintains engine speed during heavy loads. The engine is EPA Tier 3 emissions regulations ready while increasing power and machine productivity.
The PC138USLC-8 features increased lift capacity compared to the PC120LC-6 conventional-type excavator, providing excellent lifting power and stability, while reducing the tail-swing radius by 27%.
Significant improvements to the hydraulic system greatly enhance the productivity and efficiency of the PC138USLC-8 excavator. The new single pump double-flow system and pump flow merge divide valve improves swing acceleration and steering performance.
The PC138USLC-8 offers fingertip command of two different breaker and attachment flow selections, providing a total of four flow settings. Each flow setting can be easily adjusted to match the demand of the attachment on hand.
