Komatsu (Japan) intends to tackle the dozers market with the release of the D39EX-22 and D39PX-22. The new 9-tonne, 71kW machines were the first in a new line of small hydrostatic-drive dozers.
Komatsu claims class-leading forward visibility from the D39EX/PX-22 due to a cab forward design and «super-tapered» bonnet achieved by moving the radiator to the rear. The hydrostatic transmission is controlled by the same palm control system found on Komatsu’s big mining dozers. This gives operators unprecedented control in a very ergonomically friendly package, so they are less fatigued at the end of a shift. The PAT blade on these smaller dozers makes them an ideal final trim machine, as well as for small-scale bulk earthworks.
Komatsu’s new Komtrax remote monitoring system is standard on the D39EX/PX-22. The operating weight of D39EX-22 is 9040kg and the PAT blade capacity is 2.21cu.m. The operating weight of D39PX-22 is 9480 kg and the PAT blade capacity is 2.3 cu.m.
