Volvo Construction Equipment has added a fourth model to its recently introduced C-series wheeled excavator range - the EW210C. The new model is a multifunctional, fuel efficient, highly comfortable machine that features a new engine and a cab as well as improved hydraulics and controls.
The EW210C is powered by a 161 hp (120 kW) Volvo, Tier III compliant engine featuring the latest V-ACT (Volvo Advanced Combustion Technology). The engine management’s anti-stall system balances maximum available power to hydraulic output, preventing the engine from becoming overloaded. The spacious cab features an improved climate control system and increased visibility with a larger glazed area and a transparent opening roof hatch added. Productivity enhancements, common to all C-Series wheeled excavators, include the ability to adjust, without leaving the cab, flow and pressure to suit the particular tool fitted.
Inspections of engine oil, coolant, hydraulic oil and filters can be done via the larger, easy to read, in-cab control monitor. The optional CareTrack GPS system conducts a self diagnostic routine. CareTrack helps to optimize machine uptime. The purpose-designed undercarriage on the EW210C is built to withstand the most demanding conditions, and with specially designed outriggers, blade and extra-duty axles, stability and durability are excellent. Stability is further enhanced with the long, 2750 mm, wheelbase. Breakout force is 124.2 kN.
The optional two piece boom offers increased agility, allowing the excavator to work in tight spaces or perform parallel digging. All C-series models share a large number of components found on other Volvo equipment that contractors also use.
