The World`s First Komatsu PC200-8 Hybrid Hydraulic Excavator
Komatsu PC200-8 Hybrid hydraulic excavator combines a capacitor and a diesel engine. While construction machines normally use hydraulic motors to turn their upper structures, Komatsu’s new Hybrid model uses an electric motor for that movement. The electric motor collects energy generated when the upper structure of the excavator slows down while turning.

New Models in John Deere D-Series Excavators
John Deere (USA) has introduced two new sizes in its family of D-Series excavators, filling out the line with the compact 60D and mid-sized 85D. The 85D excavator has a swing-boom, which gives contractors a choice for landscaping work, light residential excavating, site development and underground work.

Rubber-tracked Dozer from John Deere
John Deere (USA) has introduced the 764 High-Speed Dozer (HSD). The innovative rubber-tracked dozer combines the speed of a grader with the flotation of a crawler dozer. As a result, operators can perform grading and dozing at about double the speed of a similarly sized crawler. They also have the ability to travel 18 mph across a job site without damaging pavement.
