Hitachi Construction China Sales to Double
Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Asia’s second-largest excavator maker, may double sales in China this quarter, beating its forecast as the nation’s spending on railroads and mining fuels demand. The company’s excavator sales in China, the world’s largest and fastest growing market may surpass 3,500 units during the three months ending March 31, compared with 1,774 a year earlier.

Tadano New Company Tadano Oceania
Tadano has established Tadano Oceania as a wholly-owned sales and service company in Brisbane to market and support its products in Australia, New Zealand. Tadano registered its new company in February 2010 with operations scheduled to start in March 2010. Tadano Oceania will offer sales and service for mobile cranes and aerial work platforms.

Caterpillar at Bauma 2010
Caterpillar has announced it will display nearly 60 products at Bauma 2010, the world’s largest construction trade fair. Its machines on display will cover products ranging from the 301.6C mini hydraulic excavator to the 993K large quarry truck.

Komatsu America NMO Plant Ships Wheel Loaders
Komatsu America has begun shipping wheel loaders manufactured at its Newberry Manufacturing Operation (NMO), after production at NMO commenced late-2009. NMO plant now produces six different models of its wheel loaders, and has been in operation since 2001.

Caterpillar Remanufacturing Joint Venture
Caterpillar Inc., through Caterpillar (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (Caterpillar China), and China Yuchai International Limited CYD, through its main operating subsidiary, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (Yuchai) have signed a joint-venture agreement to establish a company to provide remanufacturing services for Yuchai diesel engines and components and certain Caterpillar diesel engines and components.
