The first standing representative office of Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ) in Kazakhstan’s new capital city Astana celebrated its 15th anniversary in August.
UralPressInform Agency informed by Valeriy Platonov, the Director General of OOO ChTZ-UralTruck, a small state-owned business named Tzelinograd-ChTZ-Service was set up in Astana, former Tzelinograd, in 1991 to protect ChTZ interests in Kazakhstan’s market. Now it is a private limited liability enterprise Tzentrax Company (Tractor Construction Center). Within 15 years the company has successfully sold 120 engineer vehicles, overhauled over 30 tractors and hundreds of tractor engines. Since the beginning of 2006 Astana has already received 12 new Б-10М dozers. Tzentrax trading office has always new ChTZ-manufactured equipment and spare parts ex-stock.
Each tractor undergoes 20-hour long run-in test and entire presale services. It is also provided with all necessary technical documentation.
Nevertheless, supplied to Kazakhstan’s market at present ChTZ products have to withstand tough competition with China-manufactured tractors that are one-third cheaper. Chelyabinsk machinery is winning the game so far due to higher quality, spares availability, qualified maintenance personnel, service centers and repair facilities. In the future only with quality increase and production cost reduction it will be possible to meet Chinese competition.
