Atlas Copco reports growth in revenuesAtlas Copco reports growth in revenues.

Atlas Copco reported that 2006 third quarter revenue increased by 15 percent or $1.7 billion. Orders received for the third quarter increased by 21 percent over third quarter 2005.

“We continue to grow very strongly and very profitably,” says Gunnar Brock, president and CEO of the Atlas Copco Group. “In the third quarter, we achieved double-digit growth in all regions.”

During the third quarter, Atlas Copco reached an agreement to sell the majority of its construction equipment rental business. The transaction is expected to close before the end of 2006.

“Going forward, Atlas Copco`s business areas have excellent opportunities for very profitable growth and value creation”, said Brock.

The company recently opened a screw compressor manufacturing plant in Wuxi, China.
