Russia`s GAZ Group took part in 24th Havana international fair, which is one of the three largest shows of this type in Latin America.
For the first time, all GAZ Group products were represented in Cuba on one stand which become the largest in Russian pavilion.
GAZ Group exposition stand was visited by representatives of various Cuban ministries displaying serious interest towards the company`s products. Cuban ministry of transport expressed to GAZ Group their demand for vehicles and spare parts. A preliminary agreement was reached with Cuban ministry of internal affairs concerning test supply of Vepr vehicles and GAZelle minivans.
Finally, the jury consisting of representatives of official authorities of Cuba awarded the displayed products with over 30 prizes. Three of them were received by Russian manufacturers, two of which were taken by GAZ products - PAZ-3206 bus and YAMZ-236 diesel engine. These units were awarded gold medals for quality of products. GAZ Group was the only participant of Havana fair awarded with quality prize.
