KAMAZ to establish a plant in Pakistan

KAMAZ opens a plant in PakistanKAMAZ opens a plant in Pakistan.

Russian truck manufacturer KAMAZ plans to establish an assembly facility in Pakistan. This was reported to press by KAMAZ`s deputy general director Akhat Urmanov at conference “Competition on strategic markets”.

According to him, production capacity of the plant will be up to 1,000 vehicles per year. The enterprise will produce trailers and dump trucks. Urmanov emphasized that this will be the first KAMAZ facility to assemble right-wheel vehicles.

Speaking about the company`s plans, Urmanov mentioned that in 2007 KAMAZ plans to produce about 50,000 trucks, and by 2010 the volume of production should reach 70,000 machines.
