DAF Trucks meet new standardsDAF Trucks meet new standards.

DAF Trucks N.V. became the world`s first manufacturer of trucks compliant with new quality standard, ISO/TS 16949 mainly focused on continuous perfection and reduction of pollution of environment with waste gases.

“ISO/TS 16949 standard is a new and important step for DAF towards achieving even higher quality and ways of meeting customers` demand”, said Jos Smetsers, production manager at DAF Trucks N.V.

DAF Trucks N.V. is a part of PACCAR corporation, a world leader in production of heavy-duty trucks with 14% in European sale of vehicles with capacity over 15 tons. In addition, the company manufactures such items as axles and engines for producers of buses and specific-purpose vehicles. Production capacities of DAF Trucks N.V. include plants in Eindhoven (Netherlands) and Westerlo (Belgium), Over 1,000 dealer and service centers in Europe and over 7,000 employees.
