Lief Ostling, Executive director of Sweden`s Scania AB, does not exclude possibility of counter offer to purchase German truck corporation MAN. "We are preparing to various scenarios, and counter buyout bid is one of them", said Ostling. He refused to specify the cost of probable deal.
November 24, Scania`s board of directors rejected MAN`s bid to purchase the company for 10.3 bln euros due to low price and protests from company`s major shareholders - Investor AB and Wallenberg Foundations, which together own 30.6% of company`s voting shares.
