Komatsu Ltd. has won orders for large mining equipment from Mexico and China. The total amount of these contracts will reach $ 280 million.
Komatsu Latin-America Corp., Komatsu`s regional headquarter subsidiary for the Latin American business, won an order for 64 units worth about $ 160 million from Mexico. Komatsu will deliver 40 super-large dump trucks, 8 dozers, 2 hydraulic excavators, 3 graders, 5 dumpers, 3 wheel loaders, 2 wheel dozers.
With the first equipment shipment scheduled for February 2007, Komatsu plans to deliver a total of 31 units worth $ 80 million by the end of the 2007 and is scheduled to complete the total delivery by 2011.
Komatsu has won an order for 45 units of 45 units of equipment worth $ 120 mln from China`s two largest-class open-pit coal mines in Shanxi Province. With the first shipment scheduled for June 2007, Komatsu plans to complete the delivery in one year.
Besides, the Japanese equipment producer plans to win the contract to service its equipment in the two countries.
