Bobcat and Wacker: single-year friendship

Bobcat and Wacker: single-year friendshipBobcat and Wacker: single-year friendship.

Bobcat Europe, a business unit of the Ingersoll Rand Compact Vehicle Technologies Sector in the European-Served Area (ESA), and Wacker Construction Equipment AG, Germany announce that their long-standing strategic partnership in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will cease at the end of 2007. Background to this decision is the desire of both partners to focus on their future strategy, which can be best done outside of the current partnership arrangements. In this context, both companies will continue their partnership throughout the remainder of 2007.

From January 2008, Bobcat will be serving its existing and new customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland through a distribution network of company store operations and independent distributors, whereby WACKER will guarantee an uninterrupted service throughout this transition period and beyond. “The decision to cease the distribution agreement is mutual and amicable between both parties”, said Neil Woodfin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing ESA for the Ingersoll Rand Compact Vehicle Technologies Sector, based in Waterloo, Belgium. “This new distribution network will be responsible for marketing the full range of Bobcat products which includes at the present time skid-steer loaders, compact tracked loaders, all-wheel steer loaders, articulated loaders, compact excavators, telescopic handlers, utility vehicles and attachments.”
