Atlas Copco reported that 2006 third quarter revenue increased by 15 percent or $1.7 billion. Orders received for the third quarter increased by 21 percent over third quarter 2005.

Privatization of KAMAZ is inevitable
KAMAZ truck factory will be privatized no later than 2008, said Mintimer Shaymiev, president of Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. “KAMAZ will be privatized", he announced at a press conference in London. “The farthest date is 2008. Possibly, it may happen in 2007”

Bobcat workers are getting back to work
Workers at the Bobcat Co. construction equipment factory here have voted to end their two-week strike, the company said. The plant"s Bismarck employees will begin returning to work Saturday, with full operations resuming by Tuesday, the company"s statement said.

JCB will forget about Jaguar
British engineering group JCB rejected idea of purchasing Jaguar after negotiations with Ford Motor Co. Sir Anthony Bamford , JCB president, reported that the main obstacle was tight cooperation between Jaguar and Land Rover, and he was not interested in acquiring both companies.

Import in Russia tends to grow
In January-August, import of agricultural equipment in Russia grew in by 43% and is registered at the level of $958.5 mln. The leading importer is Germany (31.8%), followed by US (17.8%).
