Ingersoll-Rand is disappointed at its financial results
Despite revenue growth and earnings in four business segments, Ingersoll-Rand`s Chairman says the third quarter results were disappointing by the company standards. Third-quarter revenues and net earnings from operations for 2006 increased compared with the third quarter of 2005.

Toyota to enter diesel alliance with Isuzu
Toyota Motor Corp. has formed an alliance with Isuzu Motors Ltd., with diesel engines at the center of the deal. The alliance will push Toyota and Isuzu aim to commercialize new small diesel engines within three years.

Ingersoll-Rand expands its presence in Czech Republic
Diversified manufacturer Ingersoll-Rand Co. Ltd. plans to invest $31.96 million to build a new plant in the Czech Republic.
The U.S. company would employ up to 300 workers at the factory, its second in the town of Dobris, about 35 km south of the capital Prague.
Ingersoll-Rand has manufactured Bobcat excavators and loaders in Dobris since taking over a local company in 2001.
It wanted to launch production at the second plant in May
