Hitachi is getting its hands on Telcon
Japan"s Hitachi Construction Machinery has increased its share - to 40% - in a joint venture with India"s Tata Motors.
Hitachi doubled its 20% share in Telco Construction Equipment Company (Telcon) for $US22.25 million. The sale is not expected to change the board composition or management structure of Telcon.

Who will be the owner of DaimlerChrysler?
The Swedish buyout firm EQT is apparently one of the finalists to buy out DaimlerChrysler"s diesel engine unit MTU Friedrichshafen.
The list of possible buyers has really not changed in recent weeks with buyout group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) and its partner Dubai International Capital (DCI) along with MAN AG joining EQT as the most likely to succeed.
However, it is said that EQT is currently holding exclusive talks with DaimlerChrysler, while at the same time not ruling out DaimlerChrysler

JCB invests in India
The UK-based JCB, one of the world"s top five construction equipment manufacturing company, will make a fresh investment of $50 million for expanding its excavator production capacity. The new factory would have an annual installed capacity of 6,000 excavators. Goodyear heads the Top 100
Goodyear`s DuraSeal commercial tire technology received Construction Equipment magazine`s Top 100 Award on Nov. 28.
Rod Sutton, editor in chief at the magazine, said editors considered about 700 product introductions before picking DuraSeal technology for the award. The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company announced in January that it had developed a revolutionary commercial tire technology that seals tire punctures when they occur, greatly reducing vehicle downtime and service calls.
