Scania rejects MAN again
Swedish truck producer Scania AB again rejected merge proposal from German automotive corporation MAN. Scania`s Board of Directors rejected the bid due to protest from company`s major shareholders - Investor AB and Wallenberg Foundations.

Bridgestone to open a plant in Russia
Japanese Tyre maker Bridgestone, world`s leading manufacturer of automotive tyres, intends to established a plant in Russia. If the company manages to quickly find a site for facility and guarantee the acquisition of qualified personnel, commencement of industrial production will be possible by 2010.
