15.10.2007 Case & Hyundai Form Strategic Alliance

Case Case Construction Equipment Inc. has announced the formation of a strategic alliance with the Construction Equipment Division of Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. Hyundai will build larger wheel loaders for Case. The first new model will debut at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas in March, 2008.

Sany Sany Heavy Industry: Wide Ambitions in the US Sany Heavy Industry, one of China’s largest construction equipment manufacturers, has started to build a new factory in Georgia, US. The company plans to invest US$ 60 million in the facility, the first construction equipment factory in the US under Chinese ownership.

Ford Ford Motor Selecting the Buyer for Jaguar and Land Rover Ford Motor is expected to select the buyer for Jaguar and Land Rover early next year. In September Ford Executive Vice President Lewis Booth said the automaker needs the money and the relief that a sale would bring.

DHL DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo launch cargo airline DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo have announced that they are indeed founding a 50-50 joint venture cargo airline, with operations scheduled to begin in April 2009. Based in Leipzig, the new company will initially operate with eleven new Boeing 777-200LRF aircraft.

Palfinger Palfinger established a joint venture in India Austrian loader crane manufacturer Palfinger has established a distribution joint venture with a leading automobile trading company active in India, Western Auto L.L.C. Dubai owned by the ETA-Ascon Group. ETA-Ascon-Group is domiciled in Dubai and currently records annual sales of around USD 4 billion with a staff of more than 40,000. In India, the Group is active in the business segments of construction, transport, real estate and automotives.
