Regional Parts Depots to Satisfy Customers Needs
Komatsu America Corp. announces completion of opening eight Regional Parts Depots throughout the United States and Canada as part of their ongoing commitment to better serve their customers. These eight depots, in addition to Komatsu’s Master Parts Distribution Center, are part of Komatsu’s mission to expedite parts orders, improve operational productivity and efficiency and minimize customer downtime.

Caterpillar New Division
Continuing the restructuring that began last month, Caterpillar Inc. announced that its board of directors has approved the formation of a new division, Electronics & Connected Worksite Division. The Electronics & Connected Worksite Division will have enterprise responsibility for hardware and software technology development and Caterpillar`s global electronics strategy.

Bright Prospects for Terex Cranes
Sales at Terex Cranes were US$ 527 million for the third quarter of the year – a US$ 98 million, or 23% increase on the same period in 2006. Global demand for the large crawler and mobile telescopic crane products remained at record levels, while the North American market was strong in the rough terrain and larger truck crane product categories.

Increase in Production Capacities
Kobelco (Japan) has announced plans to build an excavator factory in Thailand in order to meet growing demand. The facility will manufacture 20 tonne class excavators for sale throughout Southeast Asia, and production is expected to start in April next year.

Ingersoll Rand: Future Planning
As Ingersoll Rand readies itself to close the deal for its Bobcat and Utility Equipment groups with Doosan within the next few weeks, additional terms of the purchase agreement have come to light as well as future planning for the company. According to IR, Doosan has rights to the Ingersoll Rand and Bobcat names for the next five years.
