Gehl celebrates record fourth quarter and annual sales
Gehl Co. has reported record fourth quarter and annual sales and income for 2005.
The company"s net income for the fourth quarter of 2005 was $6.2 million, compared with $2.9 million for the same period last year. Fourth quarter 2005 revenues were a record $108.7 million, compared with $93.9 million in 2004.

Volvo to take care of Chinese aluminium
Volvo Construction Equipment"s China business has proven a lucrative investment for the Sweden-based company and recently signed its most valuable contract.
The China division received an order for 36 Volvo A40D articulated haulers and six L220E Volvo wheel loaders for the first stage construction of the Guangxi Hua Yin alumina mining project.

Hopless and desperate Russian workers begin to strike
The staff of Russian manufacturer Voronezh Excavator Plant is planning to strike. The salary for company’s employees has been delayed for six months. The amount of the debt is $1 mln. In September 2005 the enterprise reported bankrupcy, and an external management was introduced.
The delay in salary started with th epreceeding administration of the enterprise, and in April of 2005, many employees applied to the court. Now, 729 applications from the factory’s employees are in court.

Russian Isuzu: Japan is getting closer
Russian company Severstal-Auto has signed an agreement with Japanese automotive manufacturer Isuzu. According to the contract, already mid 2006 middle and heavy-duty Isuzu trucks will be produced in Russia. The possibility of making off-road trucks is discussed.
Primarily, approximately 3,000 trucks are planned to be assembled in Russia. The models are Isuzu NQR 71 with lifting capacity of 5 tons and Isuzu CXZ 51 capable to haul 21 tons. According to experts, Russian-built Japanese trucks

Atlas Copco: China-made blue chip
Atlas Copco"s equipment arm in the Chinese city of Zhangjiakou has been granted a high level environmental certification from the International Standards Organisation.
The ISO 14001 certification awarded to the unit is the first such level attained by a manufacturing facility in Zhangjiakou and means Atlas Copco"s operations have a 98.7% compliance with the standard in China and 85% worldwide.
