Hitachi to establish India Business Support Center
Hitachi, Ltd. has announced its plans to establish an India Business Support Center in Delhi due to business expansion in India. India`s economy grew by 8.6% on average in terms of GDP from 2003 to 2006, driven by the booming outsourcing industry, buoyant capital investment in the manufacturing sector, most notably in the chemicals, pharmaceuticals and automotive industries, and strong investment in road, airport construction and other infrastructure projects.

Komatsu Ltd to strengthen business alliance with Fuji Technica Inc
Komatsu Ltd. has decided to make an equity investment in Fuji Technica Inc. by acquiring all of the shares (643,473 shares) issued by Fuji Technica in a third party share allotment in order to further strengthen their business alliance. As a result of this investment, Komatsu shall own eight percent of the total shares issued and outstanding of Fuji Technica.

Biofuels for Farm Equipment Models
Case IH has extended its recommendations on the use of biofuels to include B100 biodiesel on more of its farm equipment models. B100 can now be used on nearly all Case IH tractors, combines, windrowers, and most self-propelled sprayers and cotton pickers.

The acquisition of Bobcat is completed
Doosan Infracore has completed the acquisition of the Bobcat, Utility Equipment and Attachments businesses from Ingersoll Rand Company, Ltd. As previously announced, Doosan Infracore paid $4.9 billion for Bobcat, Utility Equipment and Attachments businesses in the largest overseas acquisition in Korea’s history.

Komatsu to build new plant in Japan
Komatsu Ltd. has reached an agreement with Ishikawa Prefectural Government and Kanazawa City Government concerning industrial-use land on which the company is going to build a new plant to produce 400-ton class, PC4000 super-large hydraulic excavators with a plan for start-up in August 2009. The PC4000 model is the largest hydraulic excavator produced by Komatsu in Japan.
