Komatsu Ltd. to manufacture construction equipment in Russia
Komatsu Ltd. has conventionally exported its products to Russia from Japan. Anticipating that the Russian market will continue to expand into the future, the company decided to respond an increase in demand. In the Board of Directors` meeting Komatsu Ltd. made a decision to establish a company to manufacture construction equipment and compact machines, including forklift trucks, in leading industrial city of Russia - Yaroslavl.

Komatsu compact equipment to fit Komtrax system
Komatsu Utility Europe, which makes compact equipment, is to fit the Komtrax satellite tracking system as standard to its entire range of machines above 1,5 t. The system, which has been available on Komatsu’s larger construction range in Europe for several years, will be fitted as standard on backhoe loaders from January 2008, with telehandlers to follow and then mini and midi excavators.

New Hyundai Training Centre in Belgium
Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe, the construction equipment and forklift truck division of the Korean industrial giant, has opened an extensive new training centre close to its European headquarters in Geel, Belgium. The new Hyundai Training Centre is already fully equipped and operational. Now, with more space and fully modernized facilities and equipment, more trainees can be accommodated and a broader range of operator and technical training courses can be given.

Volvo Group to establish a new Indian joint-venture company
The Volvo Group has signed a letter of intent with the Indian vehicle manufacturer Eicher Motors Limited concerning the establishment of a new Indian joint-venture company. The Indian market for heavy trucks is the fourth largest in the world and it is strategically important for the Volvo Group to have a presence there.
