The year 2007 was the best financial year in Jungheinrich AG’s corporate history as it saw demand for all its products and services rise significantly. Earnings before interest and taxes rose 19% to EUR140 million compared to EUR118 million in 2006.  

Terex Crane First Quarter Rise First quarter revenues at Terex Cranes jumped by 26.2 percent compared to the same period in 2007, to $632.2 million. The increase came from a 15.4 percent rise in sales. Strong global demand for large crawler cranes and mobile telescopics, continued to drive the company’s upturn in sales and order activity. 

Caterpillar Intensive Growth Caterpillar’s sales for the first quarter of the year were US$ 11.8 billion, a +18% increase on the first three months of 2007. Its net profit for the period was US$ 922 million, a +13% increase on 2007.  

Volvo Buses Order in UK Volvo Buses has received its largest single order so far in Europe. Jointly with the bodybuilder Wrightbus, the company will deliver buses in the coming years in the UK valued at SEK 1.5 billion. Volvo’s share of the order value is about 35-40%. 

Caterpillar to expand its global business Caterpillar Inc. (USA) enters the fast-growing tunnel boring machine market and acquires Lovat Inc. (Canada). Lovat, established in 1972, is a world leader in the manufacture of a complete line of tunnelling equipment used in the construction of metro, railway, sewer, water main, penstock and telecommunications tunnels.
