Terex reports another income record
Terex Corporation, the world"s third-largest construction equipment manufacturer, last week announced net income for the first quarter of 2006 of $US80.6 million, up from $US29.9 million in the first quarter of 2005.
The company reported an increase of 21% in revenue, reaching $US1.75 billion.
Quarterly sales rose 20.6% to $US1.75 billion from $US1.45 billion in the 2005 quarter.
Terex chairman and CEO Ronald DeFeo said the performance was positive for the company,

Russian giant KAMAZ to expand its armor vehicles production
This year, KAMAZ scientific research center (Russia) got one of the best testing stands in Russia. The company signed a contract to by mills which KAMAZ plans to engage in producing automotive axles.
The automotive plant is starting mass production of modernized model of traction unit KAMAZ-5460 with high maintenance characteristics: 400 hp engine, hypoid axel and a cabin with improved exterior and interior. The company starts preparations for production of promising model of traction

Atlas Copco will drill harder
Atlas Copco Canada has completed the purchase of Team Manufacturing, known as Thiessen Team Mining Products, from Thiessen Equipment Ltd, Canada.
Thiessen Team is a manufacturer of consumables for rotary drilling and raise boring. The company has its head office and manufacturing facilities in Langley (Vancouver), Canada. The company also has manufacturing facilities, sales offices and distributors/agents in several countries.

JCB strengthens its positions in Russia
Lonmadi company, official JCB dealer in Russia, reported about its intention to provide state-owned construction organizations of Nizhni Novgorod Region with JCB machinery. It was said March 4 by Lonmadi Marketing and Development Director Andrey Melekh.

New Holland loader to star in the latest James Bond movie
Global construction equipment manufacturer New Holland is set to make its silver screen debut after being selected to feature in the latest James Bond film, Casino Royale.
New Holland will supply a total of 11 machines, including two of its popular W190 wheel loaders, to support the making of this latest blockbuster, which is based on Ian Fleming"s 1953 novel of the same name.
