The most successful forestry machine contractor in the Khabarovsk region drives Valmet. The Russian company 000 Duki almost swept the floor at the Lesorub 2006 competition, a competition held in the communities of Duki and Berezovij in the Khabarovsk region of north-eastern Russia.
Lesorub 2006 is organized and financed by the companies Business Marketing, Sredneamgunskij LPH, and ZAO Flora under the supervision of the Ministry of Forestry in the Khabarovsk region of north-eastern Russia. Operators from eight companies competed as both individuals and corporate representatives, using machines from Valmet, John Deere, Catepillar, and HSM.
000 Duki is one of the leading forestry machine contractors in the Khabarovsk region and its development took a large step forward when it became the first company in the region to invest in new Valmet machines. The competitors included handcutters with chainsaws, forwarder operators, and harvester operators, all from the Khabarovsk region. The first day`s events took place in the forest and comprised felling with chainsaws and harvesters respectively, in both cases with forwarders clearing the logs. The second day`s events were held at the sports stadium in Berezovij. Participants competed in loading and unloading with forwarders and bunching different assortments. Another event involved replacing the chain and bar on a harvesting head in as short a time as possible.
