SELECT Sawmill Co. (Canada) has presented a new portable edger in its wide range of forestry equipment. The machine meets all the customers` needs for a fully portable compact unit.
It is built with quality, practicality and simplicity in mind. The new model 3214E runs on a 20 hp Kohler gas engine and uses two 14” carbide split blades. The frame is extremely solid with sheet metal channel. Live infeed/outfeed rolls and top rollers are hydraulically controlled as well as the hydraulic stabilizers for quick and easy set-up. Additionally, with the flip a switch, the hydraulic hood opening allows full and easy access to the blade.
The edger has a combination of six preset memories for unit measures and three for fractional measures for board thickness. The sawdust conveyor with adjustable outfeed angle sends the sawdust to one side of the edger for maintaining a clean workspace.
The overall efficiency of the SELECT Model 3214E makes it perfect for enhancing production in any lumber processing facility.
