Caterpillar Forest Products (USA) has introduced two new smaller forwarders, the four-wheel Cat 534 and six-wheel 544. The forwarders are equipped with 125 HP C4.4 ACERT Tier 3 engine. Innovative technology that capitalizes on Caterpillar’s expertise in the core engine systems — fuel, air, electronics and after treatment — reduce emissions at the point of combustion, enabling Cat engines to meet clean air regulations.
The Tier 3 C4.4 generates 18% more torque over previous engines in the 1400 to 1800 rpm working range. This additional torque provides more power at lower rpms for increased fuel efficiency. The high visibility gauges are easy to read in daylight or darkness, and controls have been arranged for the best ergonomic placement.
