Foremost Industries (Canada) has been designing, manufacturing and marketing high-mobility all-terrain wheeled and tracked vehicles used to transport heavy loads where there are no roads. The Husky 8 is Foremost`s largest four-track vehicle designed to move payloads up to 40 tons in mud, muskeg, swamp and snow conditions. The high deck provides excellent fording ability. Flexible track provides constant ground contact for maximum traction and shock absorption. The Husky 8 is powered by Caterpillar 3406 engine producing 460 HP.
The Husky 8 has an all steel, 2 man cab-over type. The cabin is equipped with all the necessary instrumentation: engine water temperature and engine oil pressure gauge, voltmeter, transmission oil temperature gauge, fuel gauge, tachometer. The Husky 8 has long been a workhorse for pipeline construction and rig moves.
