JLG Industries Inc. has officially unveiled the world`s first all-wheel electric-drive hybrid boom H340AJ. Due to the use of diesel fuel and electric power system new model H340AJ features the power and durability of the diesel machines, while providing low operating costs, reduce fuel consumption and noise level less than 69 decibels.


The JLG H340AJ boom is equipped with four independent electric-drive motors that provide excellent terrain performance and relies on a diesel generator. The electric energy is stored in eight 6V batteries that are charged much faster than conventional lead-acid batteries.

Among the H340AJ advantages is its durability. As standard it is equipped with two-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive is available as an option, allowing the machine to work on a variety of surfaces, including muddy and rugged terrain.


Thanks to the battery-only operation H340AJ can be used both outdoors and indoors. The boom platform height is 10.36 m; up-and-over reach is 5.1 m, and a platform capacity - 227 kg.
