11.07.2006 Hitachi prepares a surprise for autumn

Hitachi Sumitomo Construction Crane Co., in collaboration with Link-Belt, presented a new model of truck-type crane plant TCC-450.

45-tonn telescopic model is a modernized version of HSC crane, which emerged in 2005. TCC-456 crane plant meets Tier III standards and features 182-hp (135 kWt) Isuzu engine.

The plant is equipped with hydraulic systems of model line HYLAB, which are characterized by liability and long life. The model’s 4-section boom allows to operate at height

8 feet is not the limit for Manitex Manitex, Texas, USA, introduced its latest high-capacity truck-mounted crane at the Global Petroleum Show held in Calgary. Possibly the largest boom truck available on the market, the new Manitex 4596T possesses a base rating of 45 tons at 8-foot radius. This higher rating and maximum reach to 40-feet significantly exceeds those of previous Manitex truck-mounted cranes and those of its competitors.

M&T Expo – Brazilian triumph of Manitowoc Manitowoc Crane Group displayed a Grove all-terrain crane and highlighted a range of services from its Manitowoc Crane CARE customer service arm at the recent M&T Expo, held June 6-10 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The show took place at the Brazilian city’s Imigrantes Exhibition Center and is the premier construction equipment show for Latin America.

The Grove crane on display was a 250-ton (U.S.) rated GMK6220-L (known in the United States as the GMK6250-L). The crane has been one of the top-selling

Manitowoc installs world’s largest telescope An 827-ton Model 18000 Manitowoc crawler crane recently provided the crucial lifting power necessary for completion of the world’s largest “short millimeter wavelength” radio telescope in Mexico. Known as the “LMT,” the project called on the Manitowoc giant for a variety of lifting tasks, including the installation and positioning of the antenna and satellite dish.
