Mazda appoints CEVA as Distributor in Italy
CEVA Logistics has signed a three-year agreement with Mazda for the management of the distribution of spare parts throughout Italy. CEVA will collect the spare parts from Mazda`s warehouse in Klagenfurt, Austria on a daily basis and transport them to the CEVA centre at Bentivoglio, near Bologna.

IVECO Renews Contract with Kuehne + Nagel
Commercial vehicle and bus manufacturer, IVECO, has renewed Kuehne +Nagel`s logistics service contract for another three years. Kuehne + Nagel manages the majority of IVECO`s European aftermarket supply. The logistics solution covers the management of five regional spare parts distribution centres in Turin (Italy), Langenau (Germany), Madrid (Spain), Trappes (France) and Winsford (UK).

Caterpillar Logistics New Facility in Ohio
Caterpillar Logistics Services is to build a new parts and distribution centre in Ohio, US. The center will span more than 1 million square feet. Construction of the US$ 50 million facility is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2010 and be completed in 2011.

Piracy Hijackings in the Gulf of Aden
As a result of the recent development in piracy hijackings in the area, AP Moller-Maersk (Denmark) has updated its policy for vessels entering the Gulf of Aden and off the coast of East Africa. For the time being, vessels without adequate speed or freeboard will avoid the Gulf of Aden and seek alternative routing south of the Cape of Good Hope and east of Madagascar.
