In April 2008 Y703 emerged from Oceanco’s building hall in Alblasserdam, The Netherlands, and was launched later the same day. The yacht’s strikingly elegant and dynamic hull is the work of Australian designer Sam Sorgiovanni who not only drew the lines for her exterior but is also responsible for her interior design. This stunning vessel is incredibly spacious and her garage, for example, will play host to a large array of tenders: sports runabout, four jet skis and many other water toys. Her swimming platform incorporates a drop down section to easily access the sea and, on sundeck, a touch and go helipad.
Her accommodations are equally impressive with a two-level owner’s suite, two VIP suites, three double cabins, a cinema, a massage room and a medical room. A crew of twenty, housed in ten double cabins, will look after the owners and their ten guests and there remains an additional two double cabins that can be used by the owner’s staff. The blue hulled yacht is equipped with twin MTU 16V 4000 M90 series engines driving twin propellers to give her a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising range of 4000 nautical miles at 14 knots.
