Russian rescuers will use amphibian excavators
Unique equipment with no analogs in the world was presented at fire equipment exposition in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia. The equipment is very likely to be used by Russian rescuers.

Shell to convert gas into diesel in North Russia
Russian gas giant Gazprom and Royal Dutch/Shell are discussing the possibility of establishing a plant for conversion of gas into liquid fuel in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, North Russia. High-quality diesel fuel will be synthesized from low-flow gas from exhausting Russian gas fields to be exported in Europe and Asia. The realization of the project may cost investors $ 7 to 8 mln.
The plant is planed to be built near Nadym. The annual production capacity of the plant will be 12

Komatsu is not afraid of Turkmenian authoritarianism
Saparmurat Niyazov, President of Turkmenistan, has signed several regulations which allow Ashkhabad city hall to sign contracts with foreign companies to supply automotive machinery “for straightening of material and technical base and for expansion of road construction works.” According to the regulation signed by the President, Turkmenian Ministry of construction and industry will sign a contract with Japanese Itochu Corporation to provide 15 units of road construction machinery and parts for

Dubai is the best attraction for construction investments
About 30,000, or 24 per cent of the world"s 125,000 construction cranes, are currently operating in Dubai, according to the organisers of the Conmex construction machinery exhibition.

China’s got the power
Mainland China exported $1.5 billion worth of generators and generator sets in 2005, a 60% increase over the previous year, according to a report from the China Sourcing Report. The report said the jump in exports was driven by strong demand from the Middle East and Africa with combined imports of $417 million. The United States followed with purchases of $323 million.
