The world`s first fuel cell hybrid train will go into commercial service this month as Japan moves to curb global warming, say the East Japan Railway company

GE to support Indian train building Indian Railways and General Electric are reportedly planning to invest $US 100-200 million in a joint venture to build diesel locomotives in India. It is understood GE will be the majority shareholder, with Indian Railways taking the remaining stake.
