Volkswagen Group can be renamed Auto Union!?
According to GoAuto Volkswagen Group, which currently owns numerous companies Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche, Seat, Ducati, MAN, Scania and VW Nutzfahrzeuge, is considering rebranding its name into Auto Union. Such a solution will allow the group to separate Volkswagen-badged models from the overall corporate image.
The Auto Union was founded back in 1938 as a result of a merger between Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. After World War II Volkswagen bought the rights to the brand and the Ingolstadt factory
Volkswagen Group in its turn stated that information regarding a future naming change is only speculation.
