Scottish manufacturer of agricultural machinery showed a new series of tractors – X7 at the Sima 2013 exhibition. The series includes 6 tractors with engine capacity ranging from 143 to 212 hp. The three models are equipped with 4-cylinder engines and the other three – with six-cylinder units. All engines are manufactured by Beta Power and meet Stage IIIB requirements. Torque is transmitted to the drive wheels via 6-diapasoned Pro Drive transmission with 4 gears and a sequential shift function.
X7 tractor are equipped with a close-circuit hydraulic system with a nominal capacity of 123 l/min. Two PTO can be mounted to the tractors by the hydraulic drive. Rear power take-off depending on transmission has electro hydraulic control and is mounted on the base versions of McCormick X7 tractors. This mechanism has a lifting capacity in 9300 kg. This applies to all models that are aggregated by 4 - and 6-cylinder engines. And the front PTO is optional, and has a lifting capacity in 3,500 kg.
Another step upwards in standard of quality of Scottish X7 was allowed to be done due to the new Premiere Cab. Since the cabs were constructed in auto design studio, the comfort level in the cabs reaches the level of comfort in the saloon of a car. 4 airbags in the cockpit – there is no joke! LED lights and car doors bring a feeling of modern look to the exterior of tractors. Telescopic steering column with adjustable tilt, once developed by GM and used in the Cadillac, makes a touch of luxury. Of course, a new instrument panel, multi-function armrest joystick, touchscreen ... We can’t do anything without these things anylonger?
And here is one of the representatives of the X7 Series – McCormick X7.460. There is a a 4.5-liter engine with 175 hp capacity under its hood.
